From October 15-18, 2024, Rwanda proudly hosted the Africa Cyber Defense Forum under the theme, “Enhancing Cyber Resilience: Safeguarding Africa’s Digital Infrastructure.”<\/em> Held at the Kigali Convention Center, this prestigious event brought together over 400 cybersecurity experts from 50 countries, all dedicated to strengthening Africa\u2019s digital resilience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were honored to have Rwanda\u2019s Minister of ICT and Innovation, Paula Ingabire, as the Guest of Honor, underscoring the importance of cybersecurity in our digital future. NetFella was thrilled to participate in this impactful forum, an experience that reinforced our mission and expanded our vision for Africa\u2019s cybersecurity landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NetFella\u2019s Contribution: Empowering Africa\u2019s Youth for Cybersecurity Leadership<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Managing Director, Irasubiza Sadrah, represented NetFella on a youth-focused panel, joining inspiring voices like Godwin Esther, Saro Shyaka Arlene, and Nengo Ally. Together, they explored “The Next Generation of Cyber Defenders: Empowering Africa\u2019s Youth for Cybersecurity Leadership.”<\/em> This discussion focused on the critical role of young people in shaping Africa\u2019s digital future and the strategies needed to equip the next generation with the skills and knowledge to lead in cybersecurity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This forum provided an invaluable opportunity to emphasize our dedication to building a resilient digital environment and fostering a culture of cybersecurity awareness and empowerment among Africa\u2019s youth. \u201cAfrica\u2019s digital future relies on nurturing young talent to tackle the cybersecurity challenges of today and tomorrow<\/strong><\/em>\u201d says Sadrah, who is passionate about guiding the next generation of digital defenders. At the forum, he\u2019ll dive into strategies, innovations, and opportunities to equip Africa\u2019s youth with the skills and knowledge to protect our digital ecosystems. This conversation reflects NetFella\u2019s motto: \u201cBuilding Digital Safety for a Sustainable Future.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
